This is an early 80s Hondo II Master Series Les Paul copy built by Tokai in Japan. When it came in it was missing many of the original components and after sitting in the parts room for quite a while the old owner's father stopped into the shop, he had found the original pickguard in his garage. When putting it with the guitar we decided the carved solid ash body and maple neck were too nice not to make play again. Since Hondo's were never and still aren't high dollar guitars we didn't try hunting down original parts and opted to update it with new blacked out hardware and pickups.
DiMarzio post and switch, Hamer pickups
All new black, dice knobs
Missing a lot, but too pretty to use for parts.
Very solid nicely made body and neck.
Shielding is the secret of a quiet guitar. We shield everything!
All new hardware and electronics. The control cover was an odd size so a Maple one was made.
